NACHI 6230P 2MGE is the medium-flute option in the TiN coated 2-flute family. It sits between the standard 6272P 2GE and the extended 6232P SL2GE. It is made from cobalt high speed steel (HSS-CO) with NACHI's G coating, a TiN-based general-purpose layer with excellent adhesion to HSS. Sizes cover diameter 1~20mm, flute length 3~45mm, overall length 50~110mm, shank diameter 6~20mm, 2 flutes, 29 in total, made in Japan. Diameter 1~20mm with flute length 3~45mm. It suits carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel with workpiece hardness up to HRC35. Typical uses: medium-depth slotting where the standard flute length falls short. The family also includes the standard 6272P 2GE (diameters to 50mm) and the extended 6232P SL2GE (flute length 15~125mm); the uncoated counterpart is 6272 2NAC. How does it differ from the standard? Flute length 3~45mm and overall length 50~110mm - one step deeper than the standard, with diameter capped at 20mm.
