HSS-CO Keyseat Cutter Straight Shank KCLS is a high-speed steel (HSS) form milling cutter, made in Japan. Specifications range from diameter 15~40mm, flute length 1~6mm, effective length 10.8~24mm, overall length 80~150mm, 10-16 flutes. Maximum workpiece hardness up to HRC35. Suitable for: P (structural/carbon/alloy steel, <HRC30); M (stainless steel SUS304/316/420, high toughness); N (non-ferrous, aluminum, copper, brass, plastic). Tags: Keyseat Cutter. In the same EIKO family: KC (standard-length straight shank, HSS, diameter 8~40mm, overall length 50~75mm); KCLS uses HSS-CO and extends the overall length to 80~150mm for deeper slots that need more reach. Can it cut stainless steel? Yes, it is rated for steels, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. What is the smallest diameter? 15mm; for smaller sizes see KC (from 8mm).
