Product Description
HSS Counterbore Cutter Straight Shank CB is a high-speed steel (HSS) form milling cutter, made in Japan. Specifications range from screw sizes M3~M20 & W1/8"~W1/2", pilot diameter 3.2~21mm, flute length 6~26mm, effective length 3~21mm, overall length 37~109mm, 4 flutes. Maximum workpiece hardness up to HRC30. Suitable for: P (structural/carbon/alloy steel, <HRC30); N (non-ferrous, aluminum, copper, brass, plastic). Main application: counterboring (recessing screw heads flush). In the same EIKO family: CBLS (long shank, overall length 120~200mm), CBT (taper shank, M16~M30), CB JM (JIS sizes, HSS-CO) and the carbide-tipped CCB; to drill and counterbore in one step without a pre-drilled hole, choose the DCB counterbore drill. Do I need to pre-drill? Yes, the pilot guides in a pre-drilled hole; it is used for socket head cap screw counterbores. What is the largest screw size? M20 and W1/2"; for larger sizes see CBT.
