Product Description
HSS Countersink Drill DCBS, a step drill cutting the hole and countersink in one pass so flat-head screws sit flush - a practical countersink drill. Body diameter 7.5~18.5mm, pilot diameter 3.5~8.5mm, overall length 44~76mm, available in 5 sizes. Works on carbon steel, alloy steel plus aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metals up to HRC30. Japanese brand, consistent quality. Typical applications: countersinks for flat-head screws (the catalog lists it for drilling flat-head screw holes); the pilot hole and the cone-shaped seat are drilled in one pass, with no need to pre-drill and then switch to a countersink cutter. In the same EIKO family: DCBSTA (JIS sizes, pilot diameter 3.4~9mm) and the counterbore drill DCB (for socket head cap screws); DCBS covers screws M3~M8. If the hole is already drilled and only the countersink is needed, choose the CBS countersink cutter. What is the difference between a countersink drill and a counterbore drill? A countersink drill cuts a cone-shaped seat for flat-head screws; a counterbore drill cuts a flat-bottomed step for socket head cap screws. Which size for an M6 screw? Choose M6: pilot diameter 6.5mm, body diameter 14mm.
