ANSWCLHT-MHSS-E Long Shank Straight Flute Machine Tap Metric LHT-MSold0pcsThe LHT-M is a straight flute tap made of cobalt high-speed steel (HSS-E) — straight flutes suit both hand and machine tapping. It comes in 60 sizes (thread dia 2.6~24, pitch 0.45~3, overall length 85~200mm). Supplied uncoated (bright finish). It handles carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and copper, with workpiece hardness up to HRC40. Typical applications: machine tapping of holes that are deep-set, or where a flange keeps the chuck from getting close, reaching in with overall lengths of 85~200mm; straight flutes suit short-chipping materials such as cast iron.
