HSS W Type Dovetail Cutter Straight Shank ACSW is a high-speed steel (HSS) form milling cutter, made in Japan. Specifications range from diameter 15~60mm, angle 60~120°, flute length 4~20mm, effective length 12~24mm, overall length 60~110mm, 8-18 flutes. Maximum workpiece hardness up to HRC30. Suitable for: P (structural/carbon/alloy steel, <HRC30); N (non-ferrous, aluminum, copper, brass, plastic). Tags: Equal-Angle Dovetail Cutter. In the same EIKO family: ACS (single-angle dovetail, angle 30~80°) and the solid carbide mini type CSMW (diameter 5~12mm); ACSW is the symmetric W type (equal-angle) dovetail cutter, angle 60~120°, diameter 15~60mm. How does the W type differ from a standard dovetail cutter? The W type has angled edges on both sides at the same angle, while a standard dovetail cutter is angled on one side only.
