ANCCD5ISMInsert Tap Metric 5ISMSold0pcsCrafted in HSS-EX, the 5ISM is a high-quality French-brand insert tap offered in both spiral flute (blind holes) and spiral point (through holes) versions, ideal for use with wire thread inserts (helical coils), commonly for reinforcing aluminium parts or repairing stripped threads. Available in 16 thread sizes (thread dia 2~20, pitch 0.4~2, overall length 44~120mm, shank dia 3~19mm), each uncoated or TiN-coated. A TiN coating adds a hard golden film for better wear and anti-galling, extending tool life. Suitable for machining non-ferrous metals like aluminium and copper, workpiece hardness up to HRC30. French brand, consistent quality. Within the same family, 5ISU (UNC) and 5ISF (UNF) are the inch-thread versions - all three are HSS-EX insert taps, uncoated or TiN, with spiral flute and spiral point at the same price; the only difference is the thread standard. For ordinary threaded holes rather than insert holes, choose the general-purpose 5BMS (spiral flute) or 5BMP (spiral point).
