Product Description
The NT-S-SKS-W is a straight flute tap made of alloy tool steel (SKS) — designed for continuous nut tapping, finished nuts exit via the shank. It comes in 8 sizes (thread dia 1/8~3/4, TPI 10~40). Supplied uncoated (bright finish). It handles carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and copper, with workpiece hardness up to HRC30. Typical applications: high-volume Whitworth tapping of nuts, sleeves and other internally threaded parts; finished nuts pass off over the shank, so the tap need not be reversed out for each piece.
