Product description
DHF Solid Carbide Micro Grain Ball Nose End Mill BTB, commonly called a ball nose cutter, forms and finishes 3D surfaces and radiused floors. Sister series include BTA (sizes 0.5~10mm), BTG (G13 coating), DB (rated to HRC50). What sets this one apart is an ultra-fine MG0.6 substrate with a T1 coating, rated to HRC55. It covers ball radius R 0.5~10mm, flute length 2~40mm, overall length 50~100mm, 2-4 flutes, in 22 sizes, made in Taiwan. It machines carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and other non-ferrous metals, titanium and other superalloys, hardened and high-hardness mould steel. What is the smallest ball radius? R0.5mm. Can it cut hardened steel? Not recommended; choose a high-hardness series instead. Typical uses: 3D cavity finishing, radiused floors and corner clean-up, electrode and fixture contouring.
