DHF Solid Carbide Ball Nose End Mill with Shrink Neck USB, commonly called a draft or taper cutter, forms draft angles and conical faces. Sister series include UPB (G12 coating). What sets this one apart is a sub-micron SMG0.4 substrate with a G15 coating, rated to HRC60. It covers ball radius R 1~3mm, taper 1.5~5°, flute length 4~12mm, overall length 75~100mm, 2 flutes, in 12 sizes, made in Taiwan. It machines cast iron, hardened and high-hardness mould steel. What is the smallest diameter? 1mm. Can it cut hardened steel? Yes — that is exactly what it is for. Typical uses: mould draft angles, tapered bores and inclined faces, clearance work on deep cavity walls.
