AVCWJCFT1HSS 90° Single-Flute Chamfering Tool CFTSold0pcsThe WJ HSS 90° Single-Flute Chamfering Tool CFT is used on drill presses, milling machines or hand drills to chamfer and deburr hole edges; its 90-degree included angle cuts a standard chamfer in one pass, so it can follow straight after drilling. With a single cutting edge there is plenty of chip room and little risk of clogging, which suits small holes and hand-held work, and one tool covers a wide chamfer range such as 1-6mm; for the other edge configuration see the three-flute CFT3. It is offered both uncoated and TiN-coated: the uncoated version keeps cost down and is enough for chamfering ordinary carbon steel and cast iron, while the TiN-coated version resists wear better and lasts longer; the substrate is HSS, rated to HRC30, recommended for carbon and alloy steels, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper and other non-ferrous metals. Sizes cover 6~50mm in diameter and 45~98mm overall length, 10 variants. Made in Taiwan. How does a chamfering tool differ from a countersink? A countersink such as the SKD is designed to let a flat-head screw sit flush, at a fixed 90 or 180 degree angle matched to the screw head. A chamfering tool is an edge-finishing tool: it removes the burr and sharp corner left by drilling, so the part is safe to handle and less prone to stress concentration. What to watch? Run it slower than the drilling pass and feed gently; do not take the whole chamfer in one deep cut or the edge will chip. Where the hole must accept a countersunk screw head, use the SKD countersink instead; for spotting before drilling use the CD centre drill or the NCSD NC spot drill. Typical applications: deburring holes after drilling, dressing sharp corners on assembly faces, and making edges safe on sheet-metal and machined components.
