Chamfer mills bevel edges, deburr and add lead-in angles with a fixed angle (commonly 45°, also 30°/60°), producing a bevel in one pass or a lead-in for tapping and assembly. They also cut V-grooves, deburr hole edges and add countersink lead-ins. Mainly carbide and HSS; choose the angle and tip style (pointed or with a flat) to the chamfer spec. Note how the angle is specified (half or included) and the maximum chamfer width.
