The TCD-POT is a tapping chamfer tool, made of high-speed steel. deburrs the hole mouth before tapping to prevent thread chipping during tapping. Available in 19 sizes (for M3~M16, W1/8~W5/8, #6~#10 taps; metric, Whitworth and unified listed separately), sold per piece. Suitable for carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and copper. Workpiece hardness up to HRC30. In the same H.T.D family: TCD-HT (for hand taps, 37 sizes, down to M2); TCD-POT is for spiral point taps, covering M3~M16, W1/8~W5/8 and #6~#10. Do I need a separate tool for chamfering? No, the catalog states that tapping and chamfering are done in one pass. HT or POT? Choose by the tap: spiral point taps take TCD-POT, hand taps take TCD-HT.
